This notice explains what personal information South West Floor Care (“we”, “us”) collects when you use this website or get in touch, why we collect it, and the choices you have. South West Floor Care is a floor and worktop care business based in Bristol, covering Bristol, Bath and South Gloucestershire.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to answer an enquiry and carry out work.
- Quote and contact forms. Your name, phone number, email address, the postcode or town of the property, and whatever you tell us about the floor, including any photographs you attach.
- Phone calls, emails and messages. Your contact details and the content of the conversation.
- Customers. The property address, the work agreed, quotes, invoices and payment records.
We do not ask for, and you should not send, card details through this website.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote.
- To arrange, carry out and follow up the work you have booked.
- To invoice you and keep the accounting records the law requires.
- To deal with any question, complaint or claim about work we have done.
Our lawful basis is that this is necessary to take steps at your request before a contract and to perform the contract, and for our legitimate interest in running the business. Where the law requires us to keep records, that legal obligation is the basis. We do not use your details for marketing unless you have asked us to.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your information. It is shared only with the services we use to run the business, such as our email provider, website hosting, and accounting software, and with professional advisers or authorities where the law requires it.
Third-party services on this site
- Google Maps. The coverage map on the home and contact pages is embedded from Google. Loading it sends your IP address to Google, which may set its own cookies. Google’s privacy policy applies.
- Google reviews. The reviews shown on the site are pulled from our Google Business Profile through a widget. It loads content from Google and the widget provider.
Beyond those, this site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Essential cookies may be set if you log in to the site, which visitors do not need to do.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Customer records, quotes and invoices: six years after the end of the tax year they relate to, as required for accounting purposes.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to confirm what information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict how we use it, or to send it to you in a portable form. You can object to processing based on our legitimate interests. To exercise any of these rights, email or call us using the details below.
